Traces of Indonesia in the AFF Cup

Since organized in 1996, the National team (national team) Indonesia Soccer is never absent to participate in the implementation of the AFF Cup. AFF Cup is a football state championship incorporated in ASEAN. Though never absent, sadly lacking national team accomplishments to be proud of because it is only capable of being second best have never won alias.

Three consecutive Final entry - the championship in 2000, 2002 and 2004 - but always lost to opponents. And last year, 2010, no national team appearance also yielded positive results despite having won a great victory (against Malaysia won 5-1 and 6-0 opponent Laos) but performed poorly against Malaysia in the final game with a total score of 4-2 to Malaysia.

In AFF Cup in 2012, Indonesia joined Malaysia (host), Singapore and Laos in Group B.

These tracks Indonesia against its competitors in the last three games.
Indonesia versus Malaysia
December 29, 2010, Indonesia 2-1 Malaysia in AFF Cup Final 2010
December 26, 2010, Malaysia 3-0 Indonesia at AFF Cup 2010
December 1, 2010, Indonesia 5-1 Malaysia in AFF Cup Group Stage A 2010

Indonesia vs. Singapore
December 9, 2008, Indonesia 0-2 Singapore in Group Stage A AFF Cup 2008
January 17, 2007, Singapore 2-2 Indonesia in the AFF Cup Group Stage B 2007
December 9, 2004, Indonesia 0-0 Singapore in Group Stage A AFF Cup 2004

Indonesia versus Laos
December 4, 2010, Laos 0-6 Indonesia in Group Stage A AFF Cup 2010
January 13, 2007, Indonesia 3-1 Laos in Group Stage B AFF Cup 2007
December 7, 2004, Laos 0-6 Indonesia in the AFF Cup Group Stage A 2004

From the above data it can be seen that Laos is the most lightweight opponents so perhaps Indonesia will reach three figures in the first match in Group B on 25 November 2012. However, Indonesia will face two strong opponents that might scuttle the move towards Semifinal round.

Singapore and Malaysia are not a team that easily defeated even where they are champions Singapore in 2007 managed to lift the AFF Cup after defeating Thailand, while Malaysia's status as defending champions who had thrashed Indonesia in 2010.

Hopefully, the Indonesian team performance could be better at organizing AFF Cup 2012 is by not only bringing medals and success stories but also brings AFF Cup 2012 kepangkuan Mother Earth.

Good luck, my friend. Benediction of all peoples and nations always accompany your steps.
